A reliable source says that PZ Myers has died of hypothermia:

Was It Suicide?
Surely Mr. Myers was familiar with the weather patterns in his native Minnesota. The fact that is is often cold in Minnesota in January could not have possibly escaped his tender 55 years.
Is it really reasonable to assume that Mr. Myers would freeze to death by accident?
Hypothetical phone calls made to both Mr. Myers’ office telephone and his personal cell phone were unanswered.
